Join us for a rugged off-road weekend at Turon National Park! Our base camp will be at The Diggings Campground, a scenic riverside spot nearby to some great trails. For all campsite activities, youth will operate in designated patrols to foster teamwork and leadership.
Friday: Meet at 9am at the hall, then drive to the campground, pitch our tents, and set up base camp.
Saturday: Full-day 4WD adventure! We will navigate technical trails south of the campsite through Turon River National Park in vehicles driven by Scout leaders and registered parent helpers.
Sunday: Pack up camp and return to the Scout hall.
⚠️ Important Note on Capacity: Participation is strictly limited by the number of available 4WD passenger seats. Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Who can come
All Cubs of linking age, Scouts, and Venturers - subject to seats available.
Can you help with transport?
We need 4WD vehicles to get everyone to camp! If you are a registered parent helper with a 4WD and have extra seats for youth, please let us know in the form below.
Clothing & Equipment
Warm layers(it gets cold in Turon!) & a waterproof rain jacket.
Footwear for the 4WD Day: Sturdy, enclosed shoes are required. We will be in and out of the cars all day on tracks that can be wet and muddy, even without recent rain.
Spare Shoes: Packing a backup pair of shoes and extra socks is highly recommended.
