2nd Abbotsford will be attending Sail GP again this year! Tickets were purchased pre-sale last year and the event is now sold out (sorry if you dont have a ticket).

All sea scouts are to meet at Wharf 2 - King Street Wharf at 3pm sharp, we will be handing out the tickets and organising ourselves onto the spectator vessel.

All sea scouts are to be in full uniform including scarves and sailors hat! Its very important that we are all well presented and represent our sea scout group with pride!

Any adult supporters should be wearing the 2nd Abboutsford group shirt if they have one!

 

KEY TIMINGS
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the boarding time to avoid missing the boat.

  • Departs King Street Wharf @ 16:00 AEDT sharp
  • Racing Starts: 17:30 AEDT
  • Racing Finishes: 19:00 AEDT
  • Arrives back to King Street Wharf: Approx. 19:30 AEDT
 
The boats will depart on schedule and late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

CONDITIONS
Please check the weather ahead of your arrival. As this is an outdoor event you are advised to dress appropriately for the weather. If the forecast is looking hot and sunny, remember to bring a hat, high-SPF sun cream and drink plenty of water.
SINGLE-USE PLASTICS
No single-use, disposable bottles are permitted so please bring a reusable water bottle and use our free refill water points to stay hydrated through the afternoon.
WHAT CAN I BRING?
Bag Policy: You are allowed to bring one bag measuring no larger than 30 x 30cm to the event site. Additionally, a small clutch bag or purse, roughly the size of a hand and with or without a handle or strap, is permitted. Please note: There is no storage facility for any non-permitted items or bags that do not meet the criteria set out above.
 
Prohibited Items: You cannot bring alcohol, non-alcoholic drinks (water, juice, soft drinks etc.), glass, cans, single-use plastic, BBQs, weapons, illegal substances, fireworks, flares, political items or speakers into the event site. This is not an exhaustive list, and any permissible items are at the discretion of our Security Manager based on local licensing conditions. Our security staff will confiscate and dispose of forbidden items before you can enter the event site. Confiscated items cannot be returned at the end of your visit. Search Policy: For your safety, it is a condition of entry that all bags are subject to inspection by our security team before you can enter the event site. Carefully check the list of prohibited items in the Event Terms & Conditions to ensure you don’t accidentally bring a forbidden item on the day. Please do not leave bags or personal items unattended or anywhere they could cause concern for our security team, and all items are brought to the event at your own risk.
 
Please note that smoking and vaping is also not permitted.
ACCESSIBILITY
Unfortunately the spectator boats are not suitable for wheelchair users. Bathrooms are located down stairs and may not be suitable for anyone that has difficulty navigating steps.
